Job Title: Manager - RM and PM Procurement

Job Summary
The Manager - RM and PM Procurement will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of raw materials and packaging materials required for pharmaceutical production. This role includes vendor management, cost negotiation, ensuring material quality, compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining an uninterrupted supply chain to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw and packaging materials aligned with the company's production and cost optimization goals.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to forecast material requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to prevent production disruptions.
2. Vendor Development and Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for RM and PM in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality, pricing, and delivery commitments.
3. Cost and Contract Management
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings while ensuring quality.
- Monitor market trends for RM and PM pricing and availability.
- Develop long-term contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure material availability and price stability.
4. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with cGMP, WHO, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and certifications.
- Ensure all materials meet quality specifications as required by the pharmaceutical industry.
5. Supply Chain Optimization
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline material delivery schedules.
- Implement measures to reduce lead times and improve supply chain efficiency.
6. Team Leadership and Reporting
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring adherence to best practices in procurement and supplier management.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to address challenges related to RM and PM procurement.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, and related regulatory standards.
- Expertise in supplier negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.

Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Certifications: Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is preferred.
